The Mahatma Gandhi Institute, School of Indological Studies, Department of Sanskrit, invites applications for the Certificate Course in Sanskrit (Part-Time) offered through English and Hindi Medium. Designed mainly for beginners, this programme provides foundational knowledge of Sanskrit language, grammar, pronunciation, translation and simple conversation skills. Students will also be introduced to classical texts such as the Bhagavad Gītā, Pañcatantra, Hitopadeśa and Rāmāyaṇa. The course aims at developing reading, writing and comprehension abilities while fostering appreciation for Sanskrit language and culture. Mode: Blended Learning.

Entry Requirements
(i) A minimum of three (3) credits with at least a “Pass” grade in the Hindi Language at one sitting at the School Certificate or General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level.
(ii) Passes in two (2) subjects at Advanced Level
OR
Equivalent qualifications acceptable to the Mahatma Gandhi Institute.
