This short course provides a dynamic introduction to painting, focusing on three essential techniques: watercolour, gouache, and acrylic. Learners will explore the use of painting tools and materials, learn how to prepare a canvas, and deepen their understanding of colour theory through practical exercises in mixing primary and secondary colours.

Alongside technical skills, the course emphasizes creative development. Learners will practice observational drawing from everyday man-made and natural objects, using these sketches as a foundation for artistic exploration. Through guided exercises, participants will transition from realism to abstraction, experimenting with colour, form, and composition.

By the end of the course, learners will have gained confidence in their artistic expression, understood the fundamentals of watercolour, gouache, and acrylic painting, and created original abstract works that reflect their personal vision.
